The pesticides and commonly used in gardens today are very dangerous
and kill pests and beneficial insects alike as well as mammals, fish, and
birds. You can avoid using these substances through many means. Organic
Gardeners try to prevent the need for them altogether. This means that with
a little extra work in the beginning of the year, you will save yourself a lot
of work and disappointment later on in the year, not to mention money and time.
It can take some time to build up a naturally strong and resistant garden,
however, partly because its difficult to know all pests you need to beware of
and partly because living organisms need time to get built up. If you get pests
